I Code Java is South Africa's premier Java conference. It's a two day event where you will get to hear some great talks and meet industry experts in software and technology.

How to Submit

You may code your solution in any programming language that you're most comfortable with. Take the challenge and submit your entry by sending your code, solution, and student number to JavaSaStudents@entelect.co.za Entries close on Friday 8 July at 12:00 mid-day.

The Challenge

Given a list of names (in this case all the speakers at the Java SA conference), determine the frequency of each alphabetical character.

  • Treat upper-case and lower-case characters the same.
  • Don't include characters that have a frequency of 0 in the output file.
